so I guess that's fair, but they should probably cool it with the "any song" brag. While that certainly invalidates their website's boast to "get the chords to any song", they do acknowledge on the site that it "detects major and minor chords with approximately 80% accuracy for popular music". The options you get are major, minor, sus2, sus4, dom7, maj7, and min7. That sucks, but it explains why it can't pick them out automatically. It allows you to manually edit the chords if you think it guessed wrong (a nice touch) but it doesn't include options for diminished or augmented chords at all. Both in root position, using plain ol' sine waves and nothing else (so there's no extra harmonic content to potentially confuse the program). I created a track that played a C diminished triad followed by a C augmented triad. It can't recognize diminished or augmented chords at all. People don't seem to appreciate my cynicism for the program, so I tested it.
